About COYOLIA – Cohort of Young Leaders in Action
COYOLIA [Cohort of Young Leaders in action] is a social enterprise, new age startup based in Hyderabad, with focus on improving youth employability and technical talent staffing. We are a “social movement” based in Hyderabad India, with plans to extend direct presence in Africa through Ethiopia. We are being mentored by World Startup, an accelerator based in Hague, Netherlands. We have no full-time staff but volunteers with full-time attention. We are fluid in movement, dynamic in presence and bound by humanity
Problem statement: Why are we here in the first place?
The education given to me yesterday did not prepare me for today’s job or community engagement. Technology has unseated many paradigms; citizen facing processes and I need to evolve quickly to serve my community. I have surfeit of choices, but I need help in deciding the fitment. We need to create more living labs in local universities, to create more social enterprises, that can solve our unique challenges.
Our Vision
Coyolia will create abundant opportunities for youth employment across India and Africa. We will harness open-source IP in digitalization of communities.
Our Mission
We will be the Digital Ambassador, a bridge between communities, govt and industry. A facilitator that’s needed to ease adoption of solutions made by open-source, freeware under DPGA [Digital Public Goods Alliances]. We will impact local employment for youth by combination of life skills, leadership and technical skills. We will be the cohort of choice for young leaders, built with values and purpose.
Our Values
COYOLIA stands for energy, youthful enthusiasm, cultural collaboration, competing without fear or favor and to promote Indo-African friendship. We will aim to reduce corruption through automation and putting control in the hands of citizens.
